It would be a massive blow to lose him after only a few months. Hopefully he will stay with us because he wants to be in London.

Liverpool this season without Suarez and Sturridge look very ordinary. Will be interesting to see if / how Sturridge and Ballotelli "gel" :-) or not.
Seems Rodgers transfer dealings are not his strong suit? With Stevie G on the decline, they are going to struggle to make top 4. The Spurs of the North :) with entitlement syndrome and overblown opinions of themselves and their teams.

At this exact moment in time (well this afternoon)Liverpool have no interest in song. They do want a keeper and a world class centre half however.

Don't know how trustworthy this spanish paper is (Fichajes), they don't really give sources but apparently Song is keen to join on a permanent deal and wants things sorted as quickly as possible.
He also wants to ask Barcelona not to price West Ham out of a potential move as we obviously wouldn't spend 25 million or so on one single player.

zico- its common sense that the most struggling big club get linked to a Barcelona loanee playing at a smaller club.
Rodgers would take him just for the extra games. BUt the loan is for the entire season they will have to pay Barcelona's value of him which is quite high to get him.
They aint stumping up 20 mil for him and if they do we are just out of luck.

If true not quite sure what Rodgers is doing there ATM. Last season Liverpool's strength was pace, lots of it, and quick on the counter.
Song is a laid back sort, strolls around, keeps possession and keeps his position. Not the sort to get quick counter attacks going. Same with Balotelli. A stroller, likes ball to feet when he comes deep and isn't really the sort to chase balls over the top so Rodgers seems to be targeting players a tad opposite to his philosophy. Slightly bizarre.

Fully expect Song to leave next summer along with Reid, Ravel, Demel and perhaps a couple of others. If Sakho keeps up this form then we will probably struggle to keep him too.
At least the club is ambitious and hopefully if we have a good season which may convince players to stay. We could just us easy be picked apart like Southampton were though after their great season. Can't stop players leaving who want to.

nerd, I'll repeat what I posted earlier:-
Loan rules - A Player on Long Term Loan may not be recalled, except for a goalkeeper or where the player is to be transferred permanently by the club holding his registered contract.
So Barcelona could recall him in January if they were going to sell him.

Just read Sullivan's Q&A in the Standard and Song is on a season long loan with no break clause, so the cunting scousers can fuck off. Cunt them in the bastards.
